Boys' Football Development Programme
Torquay Academy benefits from a strong footballing tradition and in recognition of this, we run a football development programme alongside our broad sixth-form academic programme. The programme is run by our director of football, Chris Hogg. Students who are part of the Programme will train each day with professional coaches. These sessions will be timetabled to fit around academic lessons.
For students who are serious about their football and studies
What is the Development Programme?
This is a full time football programme that gives the players training alongside their education with fixtures being played on Wednesdays. Training is lead by UEFA A & B licence coaches with additional support from our goalkeeper coach, strength and conditioning coach, physio and analyst.
We pride ourselves on giving our players everything that they would get at a professional club, the closest you will get to a football scholarship. All players will have access to video analysis and GPS tracking pods to support their development. We have a fantastic reputation of developing players and supporting the step into men’s semi-pro and professional football.
