Mission Statement & Programme
Our ambition
Our goal to help our students realise a future they have not yet imagined, to encourage them to believe in themselves and to help them develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to achieve success. We believe that we should help our students create their futures today and every day.
Why?
- We believe that we can all be more than we think we are
- We believe that having a goal and knowing ourselves can lead us to excel
- We believe that self-confidence & ambition comes through knowledge, experience and success
- We believe that the qualifications we study and the choices we make only have meaning if they help us get to the next stage of our lives

Getting started: The Skillsometer and the Careerometer
Skillsometer has been designed for those who are not sure what jobs they may be interested in. Thinking about skills, interests and the ways these can link to jobs can be a helpful first step in identifying possible future jobs. Users take the quiz, which requires them to reflect on a number statements and decide what they love, are not sure about or dislike. Once the user has completed the quiz they are given a short list of job suggestions that are most likely to be suited to their own particular skills and interests. Each job can be explored as a description is presented together with information on pay and hours. For further information on the job, and to compare with other jobs, the user could then go to the Careerometer.
