Train to Teach
We work in partnership with all teacher training providers in the South West to provide numerous opportunities to train to teach here, at Torquay Academy.
Working with South West Institute for Teaching, we enjoy hosting trainees across all areas of the college at the very start of their teaching careers.
As South West Teacher Training partner school, we host trainees on School Direct courses and offer an experience that supplements the excellent programme at SWTT.
In partnership with Exeter University, we support their immersive PGCE courses to develop exceptional teachers.
Trainees who spend time at Torquay Academy for one of their placements will benefit from:
