GCSE Results Day! Year 11 students collect their results
We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our Year 11 students, who have once again surpassed expectations with their remarkable GCSE results. As they arrived at school to collect their results, they did so with a sense of pride and accomplishment that was palpable, despite the challenging circumstances they have faced over the past five years.
This year, our students have not only met but exceeded the high standards set before them, achieving record-breaking results across a range of subjects. In particular, our pass rates in core subjects like maths and science have reached new heights, a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our students and their outstanding teachers. Despite national trends of declining pass rates and fluctuating grade boundaries, our students have demonstrated resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to their studies.
The atmosphere on results day was one of joy and celebration, as students, parents, and carers gathered to acknowledge the incredible success of this year group. While we are proud of those who achieved multiple grade 9s, we are equally proud of the progress made by all of our students. Many have exceeded expectations, with some achieving over three grades higher in each subject than predicted based on their Key Stage 2 SATs results. These achievements highlight the incredible growth and development our students have made throughout their time with us, reflecting their hard work and the unwavering support they have received.
As we look to the future, we are excited to welcome the majority of this exceptional year group back into the Sixth Form in just a few weeks. We are confident that they will continue to build on their successes and contribute to the vibrant and dynamic community that makes our school so special.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on your outstanding achievements! We are immensely proud of each and every one of you and look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in the years to come.
