EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
The PE curriculum at Torquay Academy aims to inspire all students to participate and excel in sport and physical activity either competitively or recreationally. All students’ develop their physical competence and knowledge through a broad curriculum experience.
It is our priority that all students at TA engage in some form of physical activity beyond core lessons. We provide Super-Curricular opportunities, encompassing a thriving intra-school house competition, recreational activities and a diverse range of inter-school competitive sports which are supported by top class coaches. We recognise the difference between all of our students and provide a variety of activities that are best suited to the students’ desired outcomes for participating. All students are expected to participate, compete, train and practise both within curriculum lessons and Super-Curricular activities.
Opportunities to participate in Physical Education and compete in sport enables our students to build character and embed values such as fairness and respect.
